Providence added to its NCAA resume on Saturday, placing third at the NCAA Northeast Regionals in Boston, Mass. Maria Coffin (Annapolis, Md.) continued her strong graduate year campaign by earning fourth overall (20:40), out of a field of 250 runners. Sophomores Laura Mooney (Cappincur, Ireland) and Shannon Flockhart (Longstanton, England) were the second and third runners across the line for Providence, also finishing top-10. Mooney finished seventh (20:44) overall and Flockhart was not far behind finishing 10th (21:00).

Juniors Ashley Foley (Beverly, Mass.), Alex O'Neill (Ennis, Ireland), Lilly Tuck (Sunderland, Canada), Orla O'Connor (Waterford, Ireland) and Freshman Kimberley May (Auckland, New Zealand) round out the eight runners who will be traveling for Providence.

On the men's side, graduate student Marcelo Rocha (Peabody, Mass.) earned an individual spot at the NCAA Cross Country Championships with a ninth-place finish (30:26) at the NCAA Northeast Regionals. Rocha is the first Friar on the men's side to qualify on an individual basis since 2016. Rocha has had an impressive season, receiving BIG EAST Athlete of the Week Honors twice this season.
