PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 9 Providence College women's hockey team was blanked by RPI, 0-2, in a non-conference match-up at Houston Field House in Troy, N.Y. on Saturday, Oct. 23.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
 The Engineers struck first on a power play goal at 13:18 to grab an early 1-0 lead, after Hunter Barnett (Caledon, Ontario) was whistled for hooking.
 
Both teams were scoreless in the second and RPI carried their one-point lead into the third period despite the Friars holding a 28-15 edge in shots.
 
The Friars were unable to find an equalizer in the final period, and the Engineers struck again, 2-0, with under five minutes left to play.
 
Providence led in shots overall, 42-25.
 
Sandra Abstreiter (Freising, Germany) made 23 stops for a .920 save percentage on the day.
