The Terriers netted two goals in the opening twenty. Catherine Foulem scored Boston's first goal at the 4:08 mark and Christina Vote scored the second with just seven seconds remaining in the period.
Both teams skated through the second period scoreless.
Sara Hjalmarsson got the Friars on the board in the third period, at 8:47. On her first goal of the season, Hjalmarsson was assisted by
Ashlyn Garnett. The Friars recorded eight shots in the final period, but were unable to find the equalizer.
Sandra Abstreiter recorded 25 saves, for a .926 save percentage.
