PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The No. 15 Providence College men's hockey team was blanked by Merrimack, 2-0, on Friday night at Schneider Arena. The Friars were shutout for the first time since Oct. 13, 2018 against Notre Dame.

- The teams skated through a scoreless first period. Providence held an 11-4 advantage in shots through the opening 20 minutes.
- The Warriors capitalized on an early power play in the second period as Chase Gresock beat Lackey with a low shot through the five at the 1:21 mark.
- The Friars made a push in the final period, outshooting the Warriors by a 14-5 margin.
- Kobryn shut the door during a scramble in the crease with under three minutes to play, denying multiple stuff attempts.
- Declan Carlile sealed the game into an empty net with 58.5 seconds remaining to give the Warriors a 2-0 lead.
- Providence's six-game unbeaten streak against the Warriors was snapped and their 10-game unbeaten streak at home against Merrimack was ended.
