PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College men's basketball associate director of player development, scouting and recruiting coordinator,
Bob Walsh, has been selected to the Little East Conference Hall of Fame. Walsh was the former Rhode Island College Head Men's Basketball coach for nine seasons. The induction will take place during a special halftime ceremony at Rhode Island College's game vs. Keene State on Saturday, Jan. 11. Tip-off is set for 3:00 p.m. at The Murray Center.

Walsh was one of the greatest men's basketball coaches in Rhode Island College and Little East Conference history. Walsh led RIC from 2005-14, collecting a record of 204-63. He ranks second all-time in career victories and his .764 winning percentage is the highest in program history. Walsh piloted RIC to five Little East Regular season championships (2013, '11, '10, '09, '07) and six Little East Conference Tournament Championships (2014, '13, '11, '10, '08, '07).

RIC was one of five institutions in the nation who have qualified for the NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Tournament in eight seasons from 2007-14 under the guidance of Walsh. The Anchorman reached the NCAA Elite Eight in 2007 and the Sweet 16 twice (2011, '10).

He was inducted into RIC's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2016.
