Trevor Davock scored his first goal of the season.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.  – The Providence College men's soccer team fell to the University of New Hampshire, 2-1, on Monday, Sept. 2 on Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium.

GAME FLOW & NOTES
- Tiago Mendonca (Faro, Portugal) had the Friars' first chance of the game. He took a left-footed shot from the top of the box that was saved by a diving Alejandro Robles.
- Trevor Davock (Medway, Mass.) put Providence up 1-0 in the 21st minute, scoring his first goal as a Friar. Malcolm Duncan (Toronto, Ontario) played a long ball into the box that Davis Smith (Amherst, Mass.) headed down to the feet of Davock. The redshirt senior took a touch to beat his defender and tucked a shot into the top right corner.
- UNH tied the game in the 40th minute. Alan Kehoe played a ball in from the left flank and Donnett Sackie headed it home on the doorstep.
- At the conclusion of the first half, Providence led 4-2 in shots.
- The Wildcats converted in the 60th minute on the first corner kick of the game for either side. Chris Arling headed Antonio Colacci's corner, beating Austin Aviza (Medway, Mass.) low at the near post.
- Providence earned three-straight corner kicks with under 17 minutes to play. UNH stood strong defensively, denying any clean bids.
- The Friars continued to pressure offensively for the remainder of the half, but were unable to equalize the score. Providence outshot UNH 13-2 in the second half.
