GAME FLOW & NOTES
- The Friars jumped out in front just 20 seconds into the contest as
Davis Smith (Amherst, Mass.) headed in a cross from
Trevor Davock (Medway, Mass.) to put Providence up 1-0.
- Sophomore
Paulo Lima (Lisbon, Portugal) notched his first career goal in the 23
rd minute to give the Friars a two-goal cushion.
- Just three minutes later,
Joao Serrano (Evora, Portugal) converted on a penalty kick to put Providence up 3-0.
- The teams combined for four yellow cards in the first half, three assessed to the River Hawks.
