PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Hockey East Association announced on Monday (March 4) that Providence College freshman
Jack Dugan (Rochester, N.Y.) was named the Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week for the second time in 2018-19.
Dugan recorded his ninth multi-point effort of the season on Tuesday at UConn, notching two assists in Providence's 5-2 win over the Huskies. On Thursday against Boston University, he scored the game-tying goal with 7:29 remaining in regulation as the Friars and Terriers skated to a 1-1 tie. Dugan is tied with BU's Joel Farabee for the Hockey East rookie scoring lead with 31 points, which also ranks second nationally among freshmen.
The Friars conclude the regular season on Thursday night (March 7) against Boston College. Puck drop is set for 7 p.m. at Schneider Arena.
