Women’s Soccer Announces One-Day Prospect Clinic And Strike-Save Half-Day Camp

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College women's soccer coaching staff announced today it will hold its annual One-Day Prospect Clinic on Sunday, April 7 followed by a Strike-Save Half-Day Camp spanning from July 22-25. Both clinics will be directed by the Sam Lopes Leadership Academy.
Women's soccer Head Coach Sam Lopes and his staff will offer female field players and goalkeepers (grade 8 and above) an immersive experience into the life as a student-athlete at Providence College. The prospect clinic will include technical training (field player and goalkeeper specific), small-sided tactical games, scrimmages, a recruiting seminar and a Q&A with current Providence College women's soccer program members. Currently, the clinic is scheduled between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., with a tour of campus to wrap up the day.
The Strike-Save Half-Day Camp will help position players strike the ball in various ways to help them become better finishers. The save program of the camp will help improve goalkeepers technically, tactically, mentally and physically in all areas regarding the position of a goalkeeper. The camp will focus on goalkeepers' footwork coordination, handling and save techniques. The camp is open to males and females from 10-16 years old, each day will start at 9:00 a.m. and finish at 12:00 p.m.
