Mary O'Reilly Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

The senior earns weekly league honors for the first time this season.

PROVIDENCE, R.I.– Providence College senior midfielder Mary O'Reilly (Longmeadow, Mass.) was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday, Oct. 14. It marked her first weekly league honor of the season, and fourth of her career. 
 
O'Reilly tallied three points last week on one goal and one assist as the Friars finished the week, 1-1. Providence fell to No. 3 Connecticut, 3-0, on Oct. 11 and defeated New Hampshire, 4-1, on Oct. 13.
 
O'Reilly, a 2018 All-BIG EAST Second-Team selection, is second on the team in scoring this season with 11 points on three goals and a team-best five assists. 
 
The Friars return to action with a pair of home games this week at Lennon Family Field in Providence, R.I. On Friday, Oct. 18, the Friars will host BIG EAST foe Quinnipiac at 6:00 p.m. The squad closes the weekend with a non-conference match against Merrimack on Sunday, Oct. 20 at 1:00 p.m. The Friars' game against Merrimack will serve as the program's annual Youth Day and will feature a promotional giveaway.
