CINCINNATI, OHIO. – The Providence College volleyball team falls to Xavier, 0-3, on Friday, Sept. 28 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Friars' overall record is now 7-7 and have a 1-2 record in the BIG EAST. Providence will return to action tomorrow night (Sept. 29) for a match up against Butler at 6:00 p.m. (ET).
XAVIER MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:
- Providence falls to Xavier 0-3.
- As a team, Providence recorded 39 kills, 38 assists, 60 digs and three total team blocks.
- The Providence offense was led by Addison Root (Wichita, Kan.) with 13 kills, hitting a .444 percentage.
- Allison Barber(Woodbury, Minn.) recorded a double-double with 32 assists and 11 digs.
- Barber's 32 assists led all players in the match.
- Mackenzie Taylor(Holbrook, N.Y.) led the Friars' defense with 19 digs, leading all players in the match.
- Alderson contributed to the Friars' defense with 10 digs, respectively.
