Izzy Mendez (Cedar Grove, N.J.) took two of the Friars' three shots in the opening 35 minutes, including a good touch on the ball just in front of the cage, which was stopped by UConn's goalkeeper.
- In the second half, the Friars held firm defensively, and did not allow a goal while yielding just four shots and two penalty corners.
