Armstrong, Paladino Named To BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The BIG EAST announced its weekly honor roll for Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field on April 5. Senior Hugh Armstrong (Ballina, County Mayo, Ireland) and junior Millie Paladino (Morgantown, W. Va.) were named to the weekly honor roll for their performances at the Stanford Invitational on March 31.
At the Stanford Invitational, Armstrong competed in the second heat of the men's 10,000 meters. Armstrong finished in 13th place in his heat with a time of 29:23.29. Based on previous years, Armstrong's time should qualify him for the NCAA East Regional Meet.
Paladino raced in the Invitational Heat of the women's 1,500 at the Stanford Invitational. Paladino cut seven seconds off her previous best to finish second overall in a time of 4:14.76. The time currently stands as the fifth fastest in the nation.
The Friars next compete at their one home meet of the year, the Ocean State Invitational, on April 15.
