Oakley Runs Ninth Fastest Time In East Region

PRINCETON, N.J. - The Providence College men's track team competed at the Larry Ellis Invitational held at Princeton University on Friday, April 21.

Julian Oakley (Tauranga, New Zealand) raced in the Invitational heat of the men's 1,500 meters. Oakley finished fourth overall in a season best time of 3:43.04. Oakley's time is the fastest in the BIG EAST this season and is ninth fastest in the East Region.

Also competing was Nick Carleo (Newburyport, Mass.) and James Campbell (Cumberland, Maine). Carleo finished 19th in the 1,500 with a time of 3:50.44 while Campbell finished 45th in 800 meters with a time of 1:53.77.

Providence next competes at the 123rd Penn Relays on April 25-26.
