Freshman Julian Oakley (Tauranga, New Zealand) represented the Providence College outdoor track and field team at the New Balance Boston Twilight Series on Saturday, May 11.

Oakley competed in the men's 1500 meter run where he finished fifth in a field of 63 competitors. Oakley finished with a time of 3:48.13, his best of the 2013 outdoor season.

The Friars are back in action on Thursday, May 23 through Saturday, May 25 when the top 40 competitors of the NCAA East Regional ranking will compete in the first round of the NCAA Championships in Greensboro, N.C.
