Providence College Holds Event At PJ Clarke's In NYC

New York, N.Y. -- The Providence College athletics department held a pre BIG EAST Event on Monday, March 5. The event was hosted by Providence College Alumni, Tom Boyan, Class of '85, at PJ Clarke's Sidecar Restaurant in New York, N.Y.
More than 100 alumni and donors attended the event. Among the list of attendees greeting the donors and alumni were Providence College President, Reverend Brian J. Shanley, Athletics Director Robert G. Driscoll and men's head basketball coach Ed Cooley. The event helped raise more than $50,000 for the men's basketball program and the athletics department.
Providence College Athletics also welcomed back former players to the event. Attending players included Justin Acker, Tim Englert, Joe Hassett, Sheiku Kabba, Rob Phelps, God Shammgod, Aubrey Stallworth, Jamel Thomas and Ricky Tucker.
During the event the final Ed Cooley radio show of the 2011-2012 basketball season was held and aired live on 103.7 FM WEEI.
