PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College sophomore forward Kadeem Batts (Powder Springs, Ga.) was named to the BIG EAST Honor Roll on Monday, January 16. Batts earned the honor after he led the Friars to a 1-1 mark last week, which included a 31-point victory over No. 14 Louisville on Jan. 10.
In the two games last week, Batts averaged 20 points and 6.5 rebounds. He also shot 60.9 percent (14-23) from the field. In the win over Louisville, Batts registered a game-high 27 points and 10 rebounds. He also had three blocks and shot 9-13 from the field. Batts also recorded 13 ponts in the team's loss at No. 1 Syracuse.
Batts, a 6-9 forward, is averaging 10.0 points and 4.1 rebounds per game this season. The Friars will return to action on Saturday, January 21 at 7:00 p.m. versus nationally ranked Marquette at the PC's Dunkin' Donuts Center.
