PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Athletic Department is excited to announce upcoming promotions at the Friar men's basketball games.
One of Providence's own has returned! Saturday, November 12th, marks Coach Ed Cooley's first official game as a Friar. To celebrate, we are throwing Coach Cooley a Welcome Home Party and recognizing the tireless efforts of public safety officials throughout our community. Our student athletes ask that you bring a canned food item to the game to help the Rhode Island Community Food Bank's Holiday Meal Drive and for your generosity we will give you two FREE tickets to a future Friar game. Help us make Coach Cooley's Welcome Home Party a memorable one! The team will take on Fairleigh Dickinson at 2 p.m. at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.
As part of the South Padre Island Invitational, the Friars will host Florida A&M on Saturday, November 19 at 4:00 p.m. All fans will receive a pocket schedule card and two home schedule cards for their key chain. Return to the Dunk' on Tuesday, November 29 and receive a schedule magnet for your refrigerator when the Friars play Holy Cross at 7:00 p.m.
Monday, December 6 is the night that all fans will have a chance to get the 2011-12 Men's Basketball Team Poster. The Friars will host cross-town foe Brown at 7:00 p.m.
Join us for a holiday celebration, on Tuesday, December 20 when the Friars host New Hampshire at 7:00 p.m. Santa Claus will be joining us for the game so you better be on your best behavior. This is your chance to take a picture with Santa and the Friar!
On Saturday, January 7 Providence College will honor the Armed Forces with special ticket offers and ceremonies throughout the game. For more information contact Katie Moore at (401) 865-2733.
Coach Cooley Bobblehead Night at the Marquette game scheduled for Saturday, January 21. The first 2,000 fans will receive an Exclusive Coach Cooley Bobblehead. Game time is 7:00 p.m. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. Get there early to make sure you are one of the first 2,000 fans through the turnstiles. Coach Cooley Bobblehead Night is sponsored by Cox Sports.
On Wednesday, February 1, when the Friars host the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers at 7:00 p.m., the first 2,000 fans will receive a Friar Winter Hat. Friar hat night is sponsored by NBC 10 and Cat Country.
Friar fans help us BLACK OUT THE DUNK. Wear your favorite BLACK Providence College shirt to all the games this season, especially our game vs. Connecticut on Tuesday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m.
