The Providence College volleyball team fell to Bryant, 3-0, on Saturday, September 13 in the team's final match of the Crusader Classic. The Bulldogs won the match with game scores 25-22, 25-18 and 25-20. The defeat drops Providence to 6-5 on the season, while Bryant moves to 7-2.

Senior Jeanette Toney (Brooklyn, N.Y.) posted 12 kills and added six digs to lead the Friars. Toney ranks second on the team with 102 kills on the season. Middle blocker Elizabeth Flynn (Bellerose, N.Y.) contributed 6 kills and was named to the Crusader Classic All-Tournament Team. The 6-0 senior has earned all-tournament honors in every tournament PC has played in this season.

Defensively, senior Aida Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) paced the Friars with seven digs and now has 77 on the year, good for second on the team. Senior setter Sara Sheehan (West Chester, Pa.) contributed 25 assists and a service ace. Sheehan is now tied with Aileen Koprowski for second place on Providence's all-time service aces list with 146.

Providence's next match is Tuesday, September 16. The Friars return home to play cross-town rival Brown at 7:00 p.m. in Mullaney Gymnasium.
