Providence College Athletic Department Holds Annual Golf Classic

On Tuesday, October 2, the Providence College Athletic Department held its annual Friar Golf Classic at Warwick Country Club in Warwick, RI. Over 125 golfers participated in this year's event which hopes to raise over $100,000 for the Friars Forever Athletic Fund which supports all 19 varsity sports at PC. President Brian Shanley and Coaches Tim Army and Tim Welsh played golfed with alumni and spoke at the dinner at night. We would like to thank our presenting sponsors Cox Sports, Sovereign Bank, Samsonite, Hurley of America and Mortgage Guarantee and Title for their continued support.
The Friar Golf Classic is held each year on the first Monday of June at Warwick Country Club. It was rescheduled this year due to inclement weather. If you are interested in playing in next year's tournament, please contact Steve Napolillo at (401)865-2677 or snapolil@providence.edu.
