Q: You and the team are two games into the young season, having played Sacred Heart and Yale. What do you feel is the most positive aspect of your team's play right now? What do you think you need to work on for the upcoming games?A: I feel that the most positive aspect of the team right now is our chemistry. We believe in each other and we have an optimistic attitude towards our ability to be a much better team this year. It will be important for us to continue to work harder than ever before and to stick to the game plan and remain positive.
Q: Your mom was able to make it to the first two games. What does it mean to you to have your family in the stands, especially since you are so far from your hometown of Albuquerque, N.M.?
A: It means a lot to me to have my mom in the stands. To hear her positive words of encouragement reminds me of all of the years past that she was there to cheer me on. Even though the rest of my family is not in personal attendance, they listen to the game on the internet and follow the game via game tracker. Even my brother Stephen listens to and tracks the games from his college dorm in Colorado. I feel blessed to have the support and love from all my family members, but it is especially nice to have at least one of them in the stands here in Providence.

Q: What are the keys to success for your team this season?
A: To stay focused and healthy. We must remain positive even when the going gets tough. We are a team of many talents. We must remember to play with heart each and every game and to remain in unity.
Q: What are your plans for Thanksgiving this year? Will you be able to make it home to New Mexico, or are you having Thanksgiving with the team?
A: Because we have games so close to the holiday, both before and after, it is not possible for me to go home for Thanksgiving this year. That is why it was especially nice to have my mom here just before the holiday. Instead, I have been fortunate enough to be invited to eat Thanksgiving dinner here in Rhode Island with Chelsea's (Marandola) family. It doesn't seem like a whole year has gone by since the team was in my hometown of Albuquerque last year celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday. I will always remember how special it was for me to be able to show off my beautiful state of New Mexico and to show them some southwestern hospitality.
Q: You led the team in scoring as a sophomore and posted some pretty impressive career highs. You've established yourself as a proven scorer. What have you done to help improve your game during the preseason - and at practice every day.
A: No matter what the numbers indicate, there is always room for improvement. While I was attending summer school as well as the month that I was able to go home this summer, I continued to shoot at least 100 baskets every day. I followed the recommended training program that was given to me by the strength & conditioning coach and was committed to lifting weights on a weekly basis. I continue to work hard on my game each and every day. Conditioning is key and I continue shooting as many baskets a day as time allows.
Q: Is there an aspect of your overall game that you feel you need to improve on?
A: I want to concentrate on improving my ball handling skills.
Q: It's early in the season, but at this moment, what player on the roster do you feel has improved the most since the beginning of training camp and through the first few weeks of the season?
A: From early on I have been impressed with Chelsea Marandola. She is a very talented player. During the game against Yale, she proved that she could step it up when the team needed her. I believe she will have a very good future in basketball.
Q: Which trip are you looking forward to the most this season, and why?
A: South Florida of course! Not only am I looking forward to the weather, but my Dad, Mom, brother and sister will be flying out to Florida to watch us play!! Go Friars!!!!!!!!!!
