Men's Indoor Track Competes At Terrier Classic

BOSTON, Mass. -- The Providence College men's indoor track team competed at the Terrier Classic from Friday, January 28 through Saturday, January 29 on the campus of Boston University. Senior Pat Moulton (Pelham, N.H.) paced the way as he ran a personal best time in the 5,000 meters to lead the Friars.
Moulton, who ran a personal best time in the 3,000 meters last week, also recorded a personal best time in the 5,000 meters. Moulton's time of 14:11.94 also was a provisional qualifying time.
In the mile, senior Liam Reale (Hospital, Ireland) and sophomore Darren Brown (Spring, Texas) were the highest collegiate finishers. Reale ran a time 4:04.75, while Brown recorded a time of 4:05.32 to provisionally qualify for the NCAA's.
Junior Richard Jones (Wellington, New Zealand) ran a time of 1:50.92 in the 800 meters and qualified for the BIG EAST Championships. Freshman Ahmed Haji (West Hartford, Conn.) also qualified for the BIG EAST as he ran the 3,000 meters in 8:18.68.
The Friars are back in action on February 5 at the Boston University Quad Meet.
