Men's Cross Country Finishes Fifth At Roy Griak Invitational

FALCON HEIGHTS, Minn. -- The 14th-ranked Providence College men's cross country team placed fifth out of 25 teams at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday, September 25 at Falcon Heights, Minn. It marked PC's best finish at the Roy Griak Invitational since 2001, when the Friars placed third.

Senior Patrick Moulton (Pelham, N.H.) paced the way for the Friars as he placed 20th in a time of 24:54. Junior Martin Fagan (Mullingar, Ireland) finished on Moulton's heels as he ran a time of 24:57 to take 24th-place. Freshman Ahmed Haji (West Hartford, Conn.) was PC's third highest finisher, taking 38th-place (25:18), while senior Dylan Wykes (Kingston, Ontario) recorded a 41st-place finish (25:22). Classmate Patrick Guidera (Clonmel, Ireland) also scored for the Friars as he placed 61st (25:39).

The Friars return to action on Friday, October 8 at the New England Championships at Franklin Park in Boston, Mass.
