Men's Indoor Track Competes At Harvard Invitational

BOSTON, MASS. - The Providence men's indoor track team competed at the Harvard Invitational in Boston, Mass. on December 11. The Friars were led by senior Liam Reale (Hospital, Ireland) who qualified for the BIG EAST and IC4A Indoor Track Championships in the mile run. Reale won the mile run at the Harvard Invitational with a time of 4:06.44. Three other Friars qualified for the BIG EAST Indoor Championship in their respective events at the Invitational. Sophomore Darren Brown (Spring, Texas) qualified in the 3,000-meter run with a first place finish in a time of 8:33.77. Junior Richard Jones (Wellington, New Zealand) joined Reale in the mile as a BIG EAST qualifier with a third-place finish in a time of 4:17.60. Freshman Max Smith (Dunedin, New Zealand) qualified in the 800-meter run with a second-place finish in a time of 1:55.27.
