POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Providence College was defeated by Marist, 3-0 (30-28, 30-27, 30-22), in volleyball action on Wednesday, November 5 at the McCann Center.
The Friars (3-23) hit for a match-best .324 in the first game to keep the contest close, however they hit for just .136 in the second game and .080 in the third. Junior Ayana Cadres hit for a double-double with 11 kills on 35 total attacks and 10 digs. Sophomore Katie Fleming (Cary, N.C.) had a team-best 13 kills and added eight digs.
The Red Foxes (13-20) were led by Jamie Kenworthy. She notched a match-best 18 kills on 30 attacks for a .567 hitting percentage.
Providence will conclude its season on Sunday, November 9 at 2:00 p.m. when they travel to St. John's for a finale with the Red Storm.
