JAMAICA, N.Y. - The Providence College volleyball team was defeated by St. John's, 3-0 (30-24, 30-25, 30-21), on Sunday, November 9 at Alumni Hall.
Junior Ayana Cadres (Los Angeles, Calif.) and sophomore Katie Fleming (Cary, N.C.) recorded 10 digs a piece to lead the Providence offense. Fleming added a team-high nine digs. Sophomore Annie Fiorvanti (Northport, N.Y.) had 26 assists for the Friars.
St. John's (25-8) was powered by Rosalyn Dang, who recorded 11 kills on 10 digs for the Red Storm.
Today's match is the season finale for the Friars in their first season as an NCAA Division I independent school. Providence concludes the season with a record of 3-24.
