WALNUT, Calif. -- The Providence College men's track team competed at the prestigious Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif. on April 19-20.
Junior Adam Sutton (Preston, England) ran an impressive race for the Friars in the 10,000 meters. Sutton placed seventh in a time of 28:40.32 and qualified automatically for the NCAA Outdoor Track Championship.
Providence also had three runners qualify for the IC4A Championships. Seniors Dermot Galvin (Kilrush, Ireland) and Paul Reilly (Loughrea, Ireland) each qualified in the 5,000 meters. Galvin finished ninth in a time of 14:09.08 and Reilly placed 12th in a time of 14:15.64. Freshman Liam Reale (Hospital, Ireland) also qualified for the IC4A's in the 1,500 meters. He placed seventh in a time of 3:47.62.
