PROVIDENCE COLLEGE MEN'S TRACK

Raleigh Relays at NC State, Raleigh, N.C. - March 30, 2002

RALEIGH, N.C. -- The Providence College men's track team competed at the Raleigh Relays at NC State in Raleigh, N.C. on March 30.

Junior Adam Sutton (Preston, England) was the top finisher for the Friars as he won the 5,000 meters in a time of 14:01.26 and qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Track Championship. Also in the 5,000 meters, senior Dermot Galvin (Kilrush, Ireland) placed third (14:15.57), freshman Patrick Moulton (Pelham, N.H.) was 22nd (14:51.21) and junior Tyler McCabe (Mystic, Conn.) finished 24th (14:51.91). Sutton, Galvin, Moulton and McCabe all qualified for the BIG EAST Championship.

In the 4 x 1,500 meter relay, PC's freshman Dylan Wykes (Kingston, Ontario), senior Paul Reilly (Loughrea, Ireland), freshman Pat Guidera (Clonmel, Ireland) and freshman Liam Reale (Hospital, Ireland) finished second in a time 15:44.08.
