Men's Track Places Sixth At Brown

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's track team scored 38 points and finished sixth at Brown University in Providence, R.I. on Saturday, April 15.
The Friars were led by sophomore Dermot Galvin (Kilrush, Ireland) and junior Ciaran Lynch (Limerick, Ireland). Galvin captured the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:55.31 and Lynch won the 3,000 meter steeplechase in a time of 9:24.60.
Sophomore Hamish Thorpe (Auckland, New Zealand) and freshman Chris Livesey (Preston, England) both finished strong in the 800 meters. Thorpe finished second (1:51.89) and Livesey placed third (1:51.89).
