PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- For the second consecutive week, the Providence College Friars upset the second-ranked team in the country with a 5-2 victory against the Boston University Terriers in HOCKEY EAST action on Friday, February 18 at PC's Schneider Arena in Providence, R.I. PC's Drew Omicioli led the Friars with a game-high four points (two goals, two assists).

Adam Lee increased the lead when he wristed in a rebound at 9:05. At 10:25 of the first period, a BU goal was waved off and BU protested. The Terriers objected to the call and were whistled for two delay of the game penalties, creating a five-on-three advantage for PC. The Friars scored quickly when Jon DiSalvatore one-timed a shot at the goal mouth at 10:42. The PC power-play continued to click later in the period when Omicioli netted his first of the night at 16:09.

In an evenly played second period, the Terriers got their first goal of the night and the only goal of the period as Chris Heron fired a shot past PC netminder Boyd Ballard on the power play at the 1:25 mark.

Omicioli recorded his second tally of the game at 1:41 of the third period as he beat BU goaltender Rick DiPietro on a breakaway for the Friars' fifth goal of the game. BU closed out the scoring at 19:11 of the third period with a goal by Greg Quebec.

Ballard played a strong game for the Friars, registering 32 saves and earning the game's No. 3 star. DiPietro made 28 saves for BU
