Villanova, Pa. -- Providence College junior Ben Noad (Bristol, England) placed second in the 5,000 meters (14:23.96) and was the Friars' top finisher at the BIG EAST Outdoor Track Championship on May 2-3. Also in the 5,000 meters, Friar junior Carl Mauro (Hornell, N.Y.) finished 11th (14:53.89).

In the 3,000 meter steeplechase, junior Rick Bush (Clifton Park, N.Y.) placed third and scored with a time of 9:07.89. PC's other top finishers were sophomore Keith Kelly of Drogheda, Ireland (ninth, 10,000 meters), junior Zack Ventress of Spokane, Wash. (13th, 10,000 meters) and senior Paul McNamara of Galway, Ireland (seventh, 1,500 meters).

PC earned 16 points and finished 13th.
