Friars Finish at IC4A/ECAC Championship

FAIRFAX, Va. -- Providence College freshman Paul Reilly (Loughrea, Ireland) finished 21st in the 5,000 meters at the IC4A Championship in Fairfax, Va., on May 23. On the women's side PC's 4 x 800 relay team of senior Erin Murphy (Shrewsbury, Mass.), sophomore Stephanie O'Reilly (Wicklow, Ireland), sophomore Joan Bohlke (Old Saybrook, Conn.) and freshman Heather Cappello (Lockport, N.Y.) placed 11th in their heat.

In the 1,500 meter trials on May 22, junior Larry Morrissey (Waterford, Ireland) was the Friars' top finisher, placing fourth in his heat with a time of 3:49.71. Also in the same heat, senior Rick Bush (Clifton Park, N.Y.) was 10th (3:59.39) and senior Ben Noad (Bristol, England) was 11th (4:03.00). In the ECAC 1,500 meters on Saturday, Cappello was fifth in her heat in a time of 4:31.18.
