Before Providence: Hails from Hingham, Mass., where she played four years of tennis for Notre Dame Academy. She received the Coach[apos]s Award for her freshman year and the MIAA Sportsmanship Award her sophomore, junior and senior years. Her high school team has held the Catholic Conference Championship title since Hayes[apos] freshman year. Hayes was the team co-captain her senior year, and a member of the Scholar Society and the National Honor Society. She is the daughter of Michael and Laurie Hayes and has an older brother, Andrew, who is a 2011 graduate of Providence College.
