Kathi Weidman begins her fifth season as an assistant with the Providence College field hockey program, and second year as an assistant coach. She spent the previous three seasons as a graduate assistant (2012-14). Weidman, who played for the Friars from 2009-12, assists with the day-to-day operations of the field hockey program, and works with the goalkeepers.

During her goalkeeping career, Weidman appeared in 44 games. As a senior, she played 1,116 minutes in the cage and recorded a 0.722 goals against average and a 2.01 goals against average, while making 83 saves and posting two shut-out victories.

Weidman was a four-time BIG EAST Academic All-Star selection and was named to the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad as a senior. During the summer of 2012, Weidman was a member of the U.S. Field Hockey High Performance Training Squad (New England).

Weidman attended Penn Manor High School prior to her arrival on the Providence College campus. While at Penn Manor she posted a 50-6-1 career record, including 31 shut-out victories.

Weidman graduated in May 2013 with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She completed her master's degree in counseling at the College in 2016.
