Tietze enjoyed an impressive playing career with the Friars as a center-back from 2011-14. She finished her career 22nd all-time in scoring with 59 points, tied for 20th in career goals (22) and tied for 21st in career assists (15).
She was a two-time All-BIG EAST First-Team selection (2012, 2014) and was to the Second Team on two occasions (2011, 2013). She also was recognized as a Preseason All-BIG EAST Team selection in three consecutive seasons (2012-14) and a two-time NFHCA Division I All-Northeast Region Second-Team pick (2012, 2014).
She completed her undergraduate studies at Providence with a degree in business management. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in counseling at the College and is expected to graduate in May of 2017.
