Providence College Cancels Non-Conference Athletic Competition Through Sunday
PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College Athletic Department has announced that its varsity athletic teams will not participate in any non-conference competition through Sunday, September 16. It was announced earlier today that the BIG EAST Conference voted to postpone all conference competition through Sunday, September 16.
The Providence College coaches and opponent coaches agreed to cancel the non-conference games in light of Tuesday's national tragedy.
Providence College varsity athletic teams will resume competition on Tuesday, September 18.
