Providence College Announces Introduction of Online Real-Time Sports Ticketing

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The Providence College Athletic Department announced that tickets for men's basketball, women's basketball and men's hockey events can now be purchased in real-time through the College's athletic website at www.friars.com. Fans who choose to purchase tickets via the internet will have access to the same tickets currently available in the College's database, with the advantage of making a purchase during non-business hours.
"We're happy to be providing this new service to our Friar fans," Providence College Athletic Ticket Manager Guyde Lombari said. "Through our new partnership with Tickets.com on our website, our customers are afforded the opportunity to purchase tickets for seats at the Dunkin' Donuts Center, Alumni Hall and Schneider Arena from their own computer, at their convenience."
The service, hosted by Tickets.com, is unique in that the consumer is offered the same ticket choices as if they stopped by the Providence College Athletic Ticket Office or ordered tickets over the telephone.
To access the service, visit www.friars.com, click on the "Tickets" icon in the left side menu bar and click on "Click Here to Purchase Tickets Online." The ticketing website will open in a separate window which is subdivided by months. Payments can be made using any major credit card and, after making a purchase, an on-screen printable confirmation is immediately available confirming payment receipt and seat location.
