Mal Brown Sports Night Set For Saturday, October 21

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Mal Brown Sports Night will be held on Saturday, October 21 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Providence College's '64 Hall. The event will feature a barbecue style dinner and an autograph session with the Providence College men's and women's basketball teams. Scheduled to speak at the reception are PC head coaches Tim Welsh (men's basketball), Jim Jabir (women's basketball), Paul Pooley (men's hockey) and Bob Deraney (women's hockey).

Tickets for the event cost $10.00 for adults, $5.00 for children (ages 6-12) and children under 6 will be admitted for free. In addition to the dinner, all fans purchasing a meal will receive a ticket to the Providence College vs. Lake Superior State men's hockey game the same evening at 7:00 p.m. at PC's Schneider Arena and a ticket to the Providence College vs. One World All-Stars men's basketball exhibition game on November 4 at the Providence Civic Center.

The Mal Brown Sports Night is being hosted by the Mal Brown Club, which is the Greater Providence Chapter of the Providence College Alumni Association.
