Joe D'Antonio Promoted To Assistant Athletic Director For Compliance And Administration

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - Providence College Assistant Vice President for Athletics John M. Marinatto announced the promotion of Joe D'Antonio to the position of Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance and Administration.
"Joe has proven himself to be a highly competent and efficient administrator," Marinatto stated. "He has earned the respect of all our coaches and the College's administration. This promotion is certainly well deserved and underscores his value to the department and the College in general."
D'Antonio, who has been employed at Providence College since 1997 as the NCAA Compliance Coordinator, is a 1990 graduate of the College. A native of Abington, Mass., D'Antonio attended New England School of Law in Boston where he graduated with honors in 1993. He has been a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association since 1994.
Prior to his employment at Providence College, D'Antonio was an associate at the Boston law firm of Murray and Murray.
D'Antonio is responsible for insuring that the College and the athletic department are in compliance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA. He also serves as the athletic department liaison with the Office of Financial Aid and the Office of Admissions, as well as the sport administrator for softball.
D'Antonio, his wife, Karen, and their son, Joe, reside in Scituate, Rhode Island.
