Providence College To Celebrate The Retirement of Legendary Coach Ray Treacy

The celebration will be held on Saturday, June 6 from 3-5 p.m.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Providence College will host a special celebration honoring Ray Treacy, Director of Cross Country and Track & Field, in recognition of his 41 years of remarkable leadership and service to the College. The event will take place during the College's Reunion Weekend on Saturday, June 6, 2026 from 3-5 p.m. at the Calabria Pavilion of Champions.  A speaking program will begin at 4:00 pm. 

Treacy, transformed Providence College Cross Country and Track & Field into a nationally respected powerhouse. Under his guidance, the Friars achieved historic success at the conference, national, and international levels, producing championship teams, Olympians, and generations of standout student-athletes. 

The Providence College community, including alumni, former student-athletes, colleagues, and friends of the program, is invited to join in celebrating Coach Treacy's extraordinary career and enduring impact on Friar Athletics.
