Women’s Golf Wraps Up BGSU Women’s Intercollegiate

Myla Bisceglia recorded her first-ever eagle in the final round.

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. – The Providence College women's golf team completed play at the BGSU Women's Intercollegiate on Wednesday, Feb. 11 at Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, Ariz. The Friars placed 15th with a score of 981 (+129). Freshman Myla Bisceglia (Rye, N.Y.) led the Friars, finishing tied for 68th with a score of 240 (+26). In the final round, Bisceglia recorded three birdies and her first ever eagle on a par-four. The 77 in her final round was the lowest round of her career.
 
Texas El Paso won the team title with a score of 863 (+11) over three rounds. Providence carded a 332 in the opening round a 319 in the second round and a 330 in the final round. El Paso's Amelia Fridlund won the individual title with a score of 210 (-3).
 
Sophomore Gwendolyn Yarnall (East Aurora, N.Y.) recorded the most birdies on the week for the Friars with four. The sophomore recorded a 75 in the second round, the lowest round of her season.
