Women’s Golf Announces Inaugural Class

Friars welcome first-ever women’s golf team.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College women's golf Head Coach Doug Smith announced the program's first-ever class today [Aug. 5]. The team consists of three freshmen, one sophomore and five juniors.

The nine members of the inaugural team are junior Olivia Arone (West Newton, Mass.), freshman Myla Bisceglia (Rye, N.Y.), junior Campbell Bridges (Okatie, S.C.), junior Samantha Dunn (Berlin, Conn.), junior Emma McCumber (Millwood, N.Y.), freshman Prisha Pandey (Edison, N.J.), junior Emma Peifly (Madison, N.J.) and sophomore transfer Gwendolyn Yarnall (East Aurora, N.Y.) from Augusta University.

All five juniors have been students at Providence College for the past two years and will now compete for the Friars as the program begins competition in 2025-26.

The Friars will open their inaugural season at the Boston College Red Bandanna Invitational on Monday, September 22, at Blue Hill Country Club in Milton, Mass.
