PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The 2025 Athletics Director's Cup, presented by Rossi Electric, was held at Misquamicut Club on May 14 with Friar supporters coming out in full swing.
The third annual fundraising event kicked off with a pre-golf lunch sponsored by Servpro. The day continued with a competitive round of golf on the course, highlighted by a hole-in-one, by Friar supporter Mike D'Angelo.
During the post-golf reception, Athletic Director Steve Napolillo moderated a panel discussion featuring Men's Basketball Head Coach Kim English, Head Men's Golf Coach Lou Parente, and Head Women's Golf Coach Doug Smith. The conversation offered a behind-the-scenes look at the 2025–2026 season, touching on key themes such as recruiting strategies, leadership development, and the future of each program.
Funds raised from the tournament will support Providence College Athletics, addressing key needs within the athletic department.
"A huge thank you to everyone who participated in the third annual Athletics Director's Cup," Napolillo said. "This event is a true testament to the unwavering support of the Friar Family. We are especially thankful to the Misquamicut Club, John Ciacciarelli of Rossi Electric, and Joe Tutsch of Servpro for their generosity in making this tournament a success."
