PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College Athletics announced today (Dec. 2) that an anonymous donor will match men's ice hockey revenue share donations at a 10-to-1 ratio, up to a total of $3 million through December 31, 2025. The Men's Ice Hockey Revenue Share Challenge is a transformative opportunity for the program, fueling revenue share resources for men's ice hockey student-athletes.
"I am deeply grateful to one of our loyal Friar Family members for launching this transformative matching gift challenge," Athletic Director Steve Napolillo said. "As we compete in the best conference, Hockey East, I am grateful for the belief in Coach Leaman, our Men's Ice Hockey Program and Providence College Athletics. I hope all Friar fans will consider making a gift to help unlock this men's ice hockey revenue share challenge."
As of July 1st, NCAA regulations now allow supporters to make tax-deductible gifts to support our student-athletes directly.
