Providence College Ranks Third Among DI-AAA Schools In Learfield Directors' Cup

Friars rank 75th overall and third among DI-AAA schools in final winter standings.

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College ranks third among NCAA Division I – AAA institutions in the 2024-25 Learfield Directors' Cup Standings, as of April 24, which includes the point totals for the fall and winter sports seasons. The Friars have compiled a total of 207.00 points in the standings and sit in 75th place overall, when accounting for FBS/FCS football-playing institutions.
 
The Friars registered 135.00 points during the fall by virtue of impressive postseason performances by the women's cross country team (85 points) and the men's soccer team (50 points. Providence recently picked up an additional 47.00 points via the women's indoor track and field program and 25.00 points from the men's ice hockey team's NCAA appearance.
 
Among NCAA DI – AAA schools, the Friars trail only Denver (52nd place) and Vermont (69th place).
