BOSTON, Mass. – The No. 6/6 Providence College men's hockey team was defeated by No. 10/9 Boston University, 8-2, on Thursday (March 6) at Agganis Arena in Boston, Mass.

- The Terriers struck for four goals in the opening 8:53 of action, with two coming on the man-advantage.

- Cole Eiserman, Cole Hutson, Jack Hughes and Brandon Svoboda scored the Terriers to give them an early 4-0 lead.

- Eiserman added a goal 38 seconds into the second period to give BU a 5-0 as their power play expired.

- Ryan Greene extended the Terriers' lead to 6-0 at the 11:40 mark of the second period.

- Hudson Malinoski got the Friars on the board with 14:14 remaining in the third period with his 10th goal of the season. Taige Harding and Will Elger earned the assists.

- Eiserman completed the hat trick at the 9:07 mark to give BU a 7-1 lead.

- Svoboda tacked on his second of the night to extend the lead 8-1.

- Logan Sawyer closed out the scoring with his fifth goal of the year just 12 seconds later. Aleksi Kivioja and Guillaume Richard earned assists on the play.

- The Friars' three-game winning streak was snapped on Thursday.
