GENEVA, OHIO – The Providence College men's and women's swimming & diving teams competed on day two of the BIG EAST Championships on Feb. 25 at the Spire Institute in Geneva, Ohio.
Eight Friars made finals appearances in individual events, including
Alex Beauchene, who qualified for the championship final of the 50-yard free. Beauchene placed sixth in the preliminary round, followed by an eighth-place finish in the finals.
Day two also featured the men's and women's 200-yard freestyle relays. The women's team comprised of
Rylie Foley,
Grace Erickson,
Madelyn Harvey and
Bella Lombard finished seventh (1:36.46). On the men's side,
Nathan Thayer,
Thomas Bowers,
Nico Menendez-Featherston and Beauchene teamed up for a fourth-place finish (1:22.27).
