Women's Tennis Defeated By Georgetown, 7-0

WARWICK, R.I. - The Providence College women's tennis team was defeated by Georgetown, 7-0, in BIG EAST Conference action on Saturday, February 15 at TRI West Bay in Warwick, R.I.

Georgetown claimed the doubles point with victories in the No. 2 and No. 3 slots to take a 1-0 lead. The Hoyas earned victories in all singles matches to claim the contest by a score of 7-0. Both Mae Abreu and Allison Root forced a third set in their respective matches.

Full results from the matches are below. The Friars return to action on Saturday, February 22 on the road at Colgate University. Providence will then travel for a road match at Le Moyne on Sunday, February 23.
