Women's Tennis Downed By Colgate And Le Moyne

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Providence College women's tennis team dropped a pair of matches last weekend, falling to Colgate by a score of 6-1, on Saturday (Feb. 22) and edged by Le Moyne, 4-2, on Sunday (Feb. 23).

Lauren Carson scored Providence's lone win in the match against Colgate as she earned a three-set victory in singles play. The duos of Flora Eidson/Allison Root and Carson/Elisa Davalos secured the doubles point for the Friars in the match against Le Moyne on Sunday. Eidson registered a singles victory on Sunday out of the No. 1 slot, besting Charlotte Klein by a 6-4, 6-0 score.

Full results from the matches are below. The Friars return to action next weekend with a pair of home matches as they host Rhode Island on Saturday (March 1) and Bentley on Sunday (March 2). Both matches begin at 4:15 PM at TRI West Bay in Warwick, R.I.
