PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Hockey East announced on Monday (Nov. 24) that Providence College freshman forward
Roger McQueen (Saskatoon, Sask.) was named Hockey East Co-Player of the Week.
McQueen scored the game-tying goal to force overtime on Thursday night before following that up with a game-winning goal and an assist in Providence's 5-1 win on the road at UMass on Saturday. He finished the weekend with 11 shots on goal and a +3 rating. In 13 games played, McQueen has totaled four goals, seven assists and 51 shots on goal.
The No. 16 Friars will travel to Colorado College for a two-game series at Ed Robson Arena in Colorado Springs this weekend (Nov. 28-29).
